Does DishNetPc TV or Satellite TV for PC software really work? Is it really live tv in HD? What common channels do you get that Comcast, Direcway or Dish Network also offer? Like TNT, ESPN, Comedy Central, Food Network, Boomerang, etc. Which is the best software out of them all? I would love to hear from people speaking from experience. Thanks.

No it doesn’t work, but if you don’t believe me, you can spend $50 on software from an overseas spammer. If it sounds too good to be true, it isn’t.
If it was legal and worked, I would set all my customers up with it and instead of charging $50 up front, would charge $9.95/mo that way I make more money in the long run.
Unfortunately it doesn’t work the way they represent it, so they know they need to get the $50 from you at once, because they won’t be able to get more from you later on.

I don’t know about the first one that you mentioned, but the second one does work. There are some conditions though. First of all, you have to get a fast Internet connection. It must be at least 1 mbps, maybe a 2 mbps connection is a better option. Next, you shall only get to see free to air channels, not pay channels.
If you are ok with that, then only you should consider these software TVs, else not. If you decide to consider, you may want to look at this:

I’ve tried it out and it works great on my pc but I think that if you want to run the satellite tv channels on your computer you need to have a fast computer and internet access to stream it like hdtv quality.

Whether it’s a top PC Satellite TV software like DishnetPC or some other software, any one of them may fail to work — even if a computer is compatible. Perhaps the best thing to do is test your computer first, before making a purchase, by downloading a different software that offers a free-trial or one that’s totally free.
Sometimes hardware and software already install in a computer can keep the PC Satellite TV software from working. Also, Vista and MAC computers tend to have more problems and may need third party software that allows PC Satellite TV software to work under a different operating system such as XP or Windows OS.
