You may think, what happens if I cannot get back to watching until the next day, do I lose my spot? Not on most services. Most will save your location and you can begin playing at the same spot you stopped it last time. Actually, there are shows and movies that I have stopped and started a few days and even a week later at the same spot I left them at when I stopped.

With a lot of services, you may find a show you want to stream PC to TV and watch later.
